How smart is your marketing?
In a successful business, marketing is not just one of the disciplines within the team but sits at the heart of business, key to competitive survival. The best brands, or businesses, create a special relationship with their customers, based on intangible qualities that evoke strong emotional responses, a true dialogue.
“A brand name is more than a word. It is the beginning of a conversation.” Lexicon
A brand identifies you; it reflects your reputation and allows for recognition. Strong brands create value for the business by building emotional bonds with consumers. So, what does your brand say about your company or the products / services that you provide? Is there a mismatch between what you say and what you do?
How is your brand differentiated from its competitors? What makes your brand special? What strategies do you have in place to keep / make you the brand of choice? Who are your target audience and how does your brand communicate with them? Do your customers say the same about you as you say about yourselves? What experience do they have when they connect with your brand? How do you engage in the conversation?
When did you last review your marketing strategy to make sure that your brand conversations are clear, focused and fully engaging? That they are delivering against business objectives and bringing ROI?
